Early Years Apprentice | Forest School – Bristol, BS30 6EE

Full-time

Salary: £6.50 per hour

The Forest School is situated on the grounds of the Jarretts Garden Centre, in Willsbridge, which is a 3 minute walk from the Avon Valley railway station and just off the A431 Bath road. This setting is easily accessible and has free onsite parking.

The team is extremely important and is part of the bigger family, they put the team first and offer a range of benefits such as uniforms, ongoing training and support, 5.6 weeks holiday, employee of the month, birthdays off and more.

This site is one of four and takes children from 0-5 years, they love being outside and have direct access to a large field where they can provide stimulating activities covering all areas of learning using nature’s finest resources. They also have access to nature walks and a forest area to explore. The setting blends indoor and outdoor classrooms in a home-away-from-home environment and creates a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.

The setting is very committed and have the infrastructure in place to coach and mentor an apprentice through the qualification process.
Childcare is an exciting, rewarding career. The role available would be working in a nursery with children aged from 0 – 5 years all year round.
The role will be varied and involve all aspects of supporting children to develop and assisting them with their daily routines. You will get the opportunity to work with all age groups as your knowledge grows.
Alongside working in setting we will provide you with all the learning and support you need to complete the early years qualification.

Early Years Apprentice | Bristol, BS30 6LN

Full-time

Salary: 6.50  per hour

The nursery is situated off the A431 Bath road, overlooking the beautiful River Avon on the edge of Swineford village. It is a small rural setting with a homely feel and is located inside a bright and attractive building and has gone above and beyond to create a warm and caring atmosphere. There is a pets corner which features chickens and rabbits and an allotment where they grow their own produce.

The team is extremely important and is part of the bigger family, they put the team first and offer a range of benefits such as uniforms, ongoing training and support, 5.6 weeks holiday, employee of the month, birthdays off and more.

This site is one of four and takes children from 0 – 2.5 years, the setting is very lucky to have a sensory room which is a calming place to explore.

The setting is very committed and has the infrastructure in place to coach and mentor an apprentice through the qualification process.

Childcare is an exciting, rewarding career. The role available would be working in a nursery with children aged from 0 – 2.5 years all year round.

The role will be varied and involve all aspects of supporting children to develop and assisting them with their daily routines. You will get the opportunity to work with all age groups as your knowledge grows.

Early Years Apprentice | Bath, BA1 3NG

Full-time

Salary: 6.50  per hour

The nursery is situated on the grounds of the Royal United Hospital, in Combe park. There are regular bus routes that stop just a short walk from the setting and it is only 18 minutes from the main city centre, which makes it easily accessible.

The team is extremely important and is part of the bigger family, they put the team first and offer a range of benefits such as uniforms, ongoing training and support, 5.6 weeks holiday, employee of the month, birthdays off and more.

This site is one of four and takes children from 0 – 2.5 years, they love being outside and go out at least twice a day, whatever the weather. You would be part of a close knit team who are passionate about encouraging children to develop at their own pace, using a wide range of activities and building on their natural curiosity to explore the world!

The setting is very committed and has the infrastructure in place to coach and mentor an apprentice through the qualification process.

The nursery is set in a stunning early 17th century Tudor country house in Charlwood, Crawley.

Located in 4.5 acres of garden and woodland, the property retains many of its stunning original features, such as windows, fireplaces and Horsham stone roof. The nursery is soon to receive a full refurbishment which will see the setting being thoughtfully designed to allow the children the opportunity to enjoy learning.

Regular Forest School sessions take place in the garden and woodland where the landscape itself adds to the experience of learning.

Play is at the very heart of the ethos of this nursery and the innovative and exciting curriculum has been designed to give children the widest range of opportunities and the success of this approach can be measured in the children’s high level of achievement.

The nursery is set in a beautiful, detached Edwardian villa in central Worthing. Located close to the seafront, the property retains many of its stunning original features, such as stained glass windows, picture rails and fireplaces whilst benefiting from being completely refurbished to a very high standard.

The Worthing setting is a small, bespoke nursery which offers a warm and cosy home from home feel. The nursery features an all weather wrap-around garden, outdoor classroom and sensory garden and is perfectly located for ‘Beach School’, a completely new and unforgettable way for the children to immerse themselves in the wonders of the UK’s seaside.

The nursery is situated in Hove, near Hove Park, it has bus links directly from Brighton, and surrounding areas. There is free parking outside the nursery making it a very popular setting.

It is a small and friendly setting supporting children from 3 months – 4 years old. Forest School sessions take place regularly with the on site Forest Schools Practitioner and Hove park is just a short distance away. We have an outside growing area and are passionate about the environment, attend weekly Forest school sessions, and we follow the curiosity approach which is geared towards igniting the child’s imagination.

The setting are very committed and have the infrastructure in place to coach and mentor an apprentice through the qualification process.

You will be part of an energetic and enthusiastic team who deliver high quality care and education for their children and deliver the care, learning and play of the children in such a way that they are well cared for and safe.

You will learn about the Early Years Foundation Stage and how the nursery delivers their Curriculum and Children’s Learning and Development plans. You will learn how to record progress for each key child using the nursery’s Elite EYFS system.

You will learn how the setting ensures the environments in which you will teach and care for the children are properly set up, clean, safe and hygienic.

You will be;

  • Working as a childcare practitioner to support children through play in their learning and development.
  • Working with parents and families to support them.
  • Working as part of a team to develop and maintain an exciting and inspiring learning environment for the children to support them to achieve their learning objectives and lay foundations for them to to become successful as they move onwards from nursery into the big wide world.

    This early years setting works with children from 5 months to 5 years and is an inclusive nursery where every child matters. Meeting the individual needs of both children and parents and enabling children to reach their full potential is key.

    They are strong believers that what children experience in nursery can create strong and lasting foundations on which to build in later life, and in promoting healthy lifestyles and sociability, they recognise that it is essential that the first experiences at nursery are both enjoyable and of the highest quality.

    You will be given full on training and your duties include;

    • assisting the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
    • ensuring all daily routines are adhered to.
    • planning, organising and carrying out planned activities, organising themes and projects. Supporting the Room Leader in supervising and monitoring students in training and Nursery Assistants if necessary.
    • settling in new children and providing on-going support, under a key worker system, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications.
    • maintaining children’s records and carrying out assessments.
    • assisting in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy base room.
    • keeping abreast of current issues and attending training as necessary.
    • contributing to, and participating in, team meetings/team activities, outside of working hours if necessary.
    • ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery.
    • respecting confidentiality within the setting.
    • communicating with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner.

    • carrying out any projects or duties as requested by your manager or Childcare Services Manager.
