Incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice

Employers can receive an additional payment of up to £1,000 if on starting their apprentice is aged:

• 16 to 18; or
• 19 to 24 years old and has an education, health and care plan provided by their local authority or has been in the care of their local authority

This will be paid in two equal instalments, the first after 3 months the second after 12 months and will be paid directly from us, your training provider.
