About Safeguarding
At Brighter Horizons training our responsibilities towards Safeguarding form the foundation of our relationships with our learners and employers.
We work hard to promote a culture of confidence, confidentiality, understanding, support, and sensitivity.
Brighter Horizons training is committed to providing effective safeguarding arrangements. We treat all our learners and employers with respect, intervene where appropriate to protect them and provide our learners with an appropriate social education.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is contactable via our email address

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility, therefore we at Brighter Horizons ensure that we train and educate our colleagues, employers, and our learners to enable them to act when it is identified that someone is at risk of harm or in need of welfare support.
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is about having an awareness of what constitutes harm and how to report if abuse is suspected or disclosed.
Harm can come in many different forms; therefore, our role is to educate all those that we encounter about how to spot harm and how to access help for a person at risk.
All our learners receive safeguarding support and education throughout their apprenticeship programmes.
Brighter Horizons training encompasses four main areas:
- Equality and Inclusion,
- Safeguarding,
- Prevent (addressing radicalisation and extremism)
- E-safety.
Our policies have been developed to respond not only to statutory requirements; it also focuses on providing outstanding support to all our learners.
